Going Speed Flying in a new location
Our video of going speed flying in a new location takes you on a tour flying at many sites, conditions and the use of different flying techniques while performing this awesome and relatively young sport. If you are new to speed flying our recommendation is to take it slow, this sport involves many aspects and variables that you need to have in consideration in order to do it safely and with right outcome every time.
The animal:
Being a skydiver or a paragliding pilot does not automatically qualify you to perform safely at it, although it helps quite a bit speed flying is its own ANIMAL and should be treated as such until you have accumulated a good amount of experience.
We recommend to be very mindful of the conditions and the site your about to fly including its surroundings, always be sure about what you are doing don’t gamble, give yourself a chance to really scout the site, plan your flight line, alternate landing areas and the most important be very aware of the atmospheric conditions, temperatures, and especially the wind.
Speed flying conditions:
Atmospheric conditions can make a world of difference between a successful flight or an accident if you feel the weather conditions or site are not right for your level of experience its always a better decision to put your flight on standby until they get better, or just cancel for that day.
Protection gear when going speed flying:
Protection gear its a must in this sport, wear a helmet, back brace, elbow, knee pads, gloves, and hi-top hiking shows, this type of gear will provide a feeling of extra security and will most likely enable you to walk away and come back another day.
Enjoy, fly smart and go speed flying.
